Keith Lee claimed that he paid for all of his own medical bills while he was out of action for over half a year. He battled a heart inflammation after beating COVID-19. Now WWE is calling cap on his statement.

As part of his public statement concerning his WWE release, Keith Lee said, “Several months ago, it was not a guarantee I would make it to this day, so there is positivity in that. I paid all my medical bills from the many offices and machines I frequented. There is positivity in that. And, I do find it amusing that people believe anyone but me paid for my medical expenses.”

PW Insider received an official response from WWE regarding what Keith Lee said about the company not paying his medical bills. The official statement called those claims “erroneous” and they made a point to stress how seriously the company takes their Superstars’ health.

“Keith Lee’s recent comments implying WWE failed to pay his medical bills are erroneous.

WWE has an extensive healthcare program for the medical care of its in-ring performers and Mr. Lee was part of this program while with the company.

Should Mr. Lee have any concerns over the payment of medical bills, he is welcome to address them with WWE.”

We will have to see if Keith Lee makes any more public statements on the matter. WWE is holding firm to their denial of his accusation.

As Ringside News exclusively reported, there were a number of issues with Keith Lee backstage. They kept him around due to his size and ability, but it was finally deemed time to let him go.
