WWE recently released many talents unexpectedly in another wave of firings. Some from the business showed their reactions to it. While former WWE superstar and AEW phenomenon Bryan Danielson said that the releases feel unnatural, Tony Khan said that AEW won’t have any lack of new debuts with the now-free agents. A few of those released Superstars already have interest elsewhere.
The releases happened on November 4th, and its barely been processed by the talents themselves. Lucha House Party, which were a frequent part of WWE programming, commented on their sudden release. As fresh as the releases are, other wrestling promotions are already trying to secure them.
The Mexican wrestling promotion AAA has showed interest in many of the key releases from WWE. The specific names of the former WWE stars AAA wants on its roster are Karrion Kross, Scarlett Bordeaux, Gran Metalik & Taya Valkyrie (Franky Monet).
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter added in their report that AAA is willing to have Valkyrie join their roster “whenever she is interested and available”. The promotion seeks to bring on Karrion Kross & Scarlett Bordeaux sometime next year.
AAA is showing interest in other free agents as well, namely the ROH releases Flamita, Rey Horus and Rush. It seems the Mexican promotion will undergo a huge expansion. With so many talented pro-wrestlers ready for hire, it would be ridiculous not to capitalize on the chance.
