The Undertaker will forever be remembered as one of the greatest pro wrestlers to have ever stepped foot inside the squared circle. He gave more than three decades of his life to the business and The Undertaker’s contributions will never be forgotten.
The Undertaker had his final match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 in a Boneyard match.. The match was a resounding success and received a lot of critical praise from fans and Superstars alike.
The Undertaker retired at Survivor Series pay-per-view last year and since then has remained retired. Despite this many fans wonder if he will have one more match.
While speaking with Dallas Morning News, The Undertaker talked about wrestling another match. The Deadman admitted that while he could go through with one, he simply couldn’t live up to expectations.
Yeah, of course it does. I think it’s always in my head and in my heart, especially getting ready for WrestleMania here at AT&T Stadium it’s just like … man. But it’s just at a point where physically, I can’t perform at a level. I mean, I could go out and walk through something and I could get through a match. But I can’t give people what they expect at this point.
When you see Undertaker, you pay money to see that guy wrestle. I can’t deliver physically on what people’s expectations are. … The passion is obviously still there. I think that will always be there. It’s just the physical side of it. … My time has come, my time has gone. This is the WWE and things happen, you never know. But I know that my time has passed and it’s time for these young guys to step up and take over and lead us to where we’re going.”
The Undertaker also recently revealed that he would help train his daughter if she ever wanted to become a pro wrestler. The Undertaker has been enjoying his life in retirement since then but had also mentioned earlier that he wanted to mentor young WWE talents. We will have to see what is next in store for the Phenom.
