Former Impact Wrestling Knockouts champion Taryn Terrell has joined a lawsuit with three other women against a Miami massage therapist they allege touched them inappropriately. Former lead massage therapist at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Oscar Ojeda, is accused of the assaults which allegedly occurred during massages.
Speaking to NBC Miami, Taryn described the situation. She alleges that the assault took place while she was on vacation with her husband in August of 2020. She wound up alone in the massage room with Ojeda.
“I may be a wrestler. I may be a stunt woman. I may be all of those things, but at the end of the day, I am a human and I deserve the same respect and decency that every other human deserves, and when someone invades your intimate private space, it’s not OK.
I froze in fear. I wish I was one of those people who said I stood up and I said this is not OK, but I was terrified. In the moment that everything happened I was so mad at myself that I couldn’t even say to him to stop doing what he was doing.”
Ojeda was arrested this past May on charges of misdemeanor battery relating to the incident with Taryn Terrell and Seda Atkins. The hotel has issued a statement saying that Oscar Ojeda no longer works for them and that they do not condone this type of behavior.
The lawsuit points out that in the past, others have come forward to hotel staff about Ojeda’s unwanted touching. Taryn says she was offered a free massage as compensation when she complained. Ojeda is pleading not guilty. His next court appearance is set for December.
