Karrion Kross Had Backstage Heat Prior To WWE Release

Karrion Kross was released this week and so was his real-life fiancé Scarlett. The two make a great on-screen team, but they were never placed together on the main roster. That was not for lack of trying.

Fightful Select reports that Karrion Kross’ repackaging was not his idea at all. He has already verbally trashed the helmet they gave him.

It was also reported that there were some within the company who pulled for Scarlett to receive a call-up and join Karrion Kross, but that obviously didn’t happen. Then they devised plans to change up Karrion Kross’ character once again prior to his release. There was also a rumor that Kross had some backstage heat on him.

There were several that pushed for Scarlett to be a part of the Karrion Kross act, but obviously it never came to fruition. Almost immediately backstage rumors swirled of Kross getting heat within the company, but even then several tried to plead about the direction of his booking and character.

WWE released a handful of Superstars due to their vaccination status. Those Superstars wouldn’t be allowed to wrestle in certain places where vaccinations are required. International travel is also very difficult unless you’re vaccinated. There is no confirmation that Karrion Kross’ release was for that reason, because everyone was told that the company’s reason was budget cuts.
