Why WWE Isn’t Disciplining Charlotte Flair After Becky Lynch Confrontation

After several alleged occurrences of Charlotte Flair going off script, the heat on the superstar in the WWE locker room is at an all time high. Charlotte went off script to embarrass Becky Lynch on live TV and a maelstrom of reports came out about WWE superstars becoming frustrated if not irate with Flair.

According to a source that talked to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Charlotte Flair isn’t the only one to blame. WWE would not only have to discipline Flair, but this would cause a domino effect. There are other wrestlers involved in the bickering.

“Charlotte is a tricky situation. Not just because she’s a star in a division with very few stars. But because she’s not the only guilty party. Discipline her and you have to discipline quite a few people.”

Many fans demanded the immediate release of Charlotte Flair. Rational thinkers realized that doing so would be to simply hand Flair, a major WWE star, over to AEW. The promotion and the superstars involved are all caught between a rock and a hard place.

After Charlotte dropped the belt during a title exchange angle with Becky Lynch, the two had a major confrontation. Becky felt disrespected. Flair was kicked out of the arena entirely.

The situation has had some time to simmer down since the initial incident and the emotional reactions that followed. There’s been less news coming in regarding the situation. It may be that cooler heads have prevailed for now.
