Hit Row’s Top Dolla recently appeared on the “After the Bell” podcast. In a conversation with Corey Graves, the wrestler discussed his original plans for Hit Row.

While talking about Hit Row, Dolla talked about how the team originally came together. The wrestler revealed that he originally intended to form the faction along with Swerve and Lio Rush, because of their shared love of rapping.

Unfortunately for Top Dolla, Lio Rush got released from his contract, and Swerve was busy working on his own ideas. Consequently, upon Ryan Katz’s suggestion, Dolla formed a tag team with Tehuti (Ashanti Adonis). Dolla shared his feelings on being moved up to SmackDown.

It’s amazing because this is an idea I had for years, the record label faction. I did it on the indies. It’s something I wanted to do my whole life.
