WWE fired several office employees this week as the company’s employee purge continues. Most of them were corporate employees that fans wouldn’t know anything about. One of the releases, though, was a shocker to WWE staff.

PW Insider reports that 15 year company veteran Stan Stanski was among those let go. Stanski served as the Senior Vice President of Creative Services. That’s a high-level job in any corporate structure. He had a ton of responsibility for the branding and presentation of the product.

“Stanski’s departure has been quite the shock as word has traveled around the company this evening.  One person described Stanski’s departure as ‘the ultimate proof no one is safe’ and ‘yet another reminder this isn’t the same company it was a year ago.'”

Stan Stanski has been with WWE since 2006. He was initially hired as a Vice President of Creative Services. He was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2012. Stanski described his responsibilities with WWE on his LinkedIn profile.

“Responsible for defining and managing the overall creative look of WWE across all platforms including but not limited to: the graphic identity and branding; photography; on and off air affiliate marketing of pay-per-view events; consumer and trade advertising; consumer products; sponsorship and retail promotions; live event and tour promotion; fan events; talent brand development; corporate communication; and WWE Studios.”

There may be more firings on the horizon at WWE corporate. Stanski is the highest ranked employee to be let go in the office thus far. The moves come amidst a wave of releases of in-ring talent. Nobody at WWE could feel secure in their employment status at this point.
