WWE released over a dozen Superstars from their roster on November 4th. Some of those Superstars were big surprises, and the Lucha House Party were both included on that list of cuts.
Both members of the Lucha House Party have commented on Twitter. Gran Metalik, who previously requested his release from WWE, had a rather touching thank you tweet to send off directed toward WWE and Vince McMahon for the opportunity.
Thank you WWE universe for welcoming me with open arms during my stay in the company. Thank you @VinceMcMahon for granting me my release. I will miss you WWE universe. Remember the most important thing in life is to be Happy See you soon. “The king of the ropes” Mascara Dorada
Lince Dorado also tweeted out a video of Conor McGregor saying, “Surprise surprise motherf*cker, the king is back!” We have to wonder exactly what he plans on doing when that 90-day non-compete clause is up.
The Lucha House Party were supposed to sell a ton of merchandise to kids and become fan favorites. Sadly, they were never really given any opportunity to prove what they can do in WWE. We will have to see what both Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik does when their 90-day non-compete clause is up.
