For many fans, CM Punk’s debut at AEW Rampage: The First Dance is one of the greatest moments in the company’s history and it is hard to argue why. To add to that, his debut might even make it to Guinness World Records. Now it seems Eric Bischoff has a problem with CM Punk’s next feud.

For many years fans wondered if he will ever go back to WWE, but it seems CM Punk had absolutely no intention of ever doing so as it was never on the table. Samoa Joe always knew CM Punk was going to make his pro wrestling return as well.

As seen on last week’s episode of AEW Rampage, the company began setting up a feud between CM Punk and Eddie Kingston after Kingston lost to Bryan Danielson.

While speaking on his podcast 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff talked about AEW booking CM Punk vs Eddie Kingston. Bischoff blasted the feud for having no proper story and having matches for the sake of matches.

If AEW doesn’t do a great job of telling that story to the uninformed as opposed to just assuming that those that know, know, probably will not live up to their potential. My advice is to tell stories. Don’t just put on matches for the sake of matches. Do not just entertain the hardcore community or the internet wrestling community. They’re an important part of the community, no doubt about it, but they’re not the only part. You have to tell stories that appeal to the masses if you want to be popular with the masses

We will have to wait and see if AEW will build the feud between CM Punk and Eddie Kingston properly or not as we head towards AEW Full Gear on November 13.
