AEW decided to put Miro in Jon Moxley’s spot during the AEW World Title tournament, and he defeated Orange Cassidy. Tony Khan didn’t have a lot of time to make this decision.

According toFightful, Tony Khan made the call on Tuesday to have Miro win in place of Moxley. The problem was that Miro wasn’t even booked to be at the show. AEW had to fly Miro in on Wednesday afternoon and he got there in time.

We’re told that the final decision was determined on Tuesday afternoon, and Miro was not actually scheduled to be at the show, and he arrived shortly before Dynamite on Wednesday.

It was also reported that “creative has changed often for Miro of late.” This isn’t the first time that AEW made the call to change up plans for God’s Favorite Champion, but it also wasn’t noted what those plans consisted of.
