WWE revamped NXT in a big way and some were under the idea that fans won’t see another TakeOver special for the remainder of 2021. That idea might be out the window now.

No TakeOver special was listed on the company’s internal schedule. Also, they did not reveal the date of a new TakeOver special during Halloween Havoc, and some were expecting it. Now we have a new date and fans won’t have to wait long.

According to Wrestlenomic’s Brandon Thurston, WWE is planning their next TakeOver event for December 5th. It was not confirmed what the name of the event will be.

Tentative date for the first NXT 2.0 Takeover is Sunday, December 5, according to multiple sources. Have asked but couldn’t confirm if “Takeover” will continue to be the brand name.

We’ll have to see how NXT 2.0 builds toward their next big event. Halloween Havoc saw every title change hands except for Tommaso Ciampa’s belt. Only time will tell if Bron Breakker, or anyone else, will be able to separate Ciampa from Goldy next time around.
