AJ Styles has now been absent from consecutive episodes of Raw. Last week, the superstar was rumored to be suffering from some kind of injury. We now know the real reason for his absence.
In a segment on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer did confirm that Styles is suffering from a medical issue. The issue is believed to be non-injury related. Omos did appear on the show last night, so it seems plans are still going ahead for Styles and his massive partner as planned.
“AJ’s got a non-injury medical issue, is what I was told. I’m sure he’s gonna yell and scream about it at some point, but that is what they said. A non-injury medical issue.”
Styles last appeared for WWE at Crown Jewel on October 21. Styles and Omos wrestled RK-Bro for the Raw Tag championships. The team was unsuccessful in their challenge.
AJ has been sidelined in the past, particularly with shoulder problems. There is no known timetable for his return. Details on the nature of the non-injury medical issue are unknown.
The 44-year-old Styles recently talked about how his career has lasted longer than he ever thought it would. Styles is an international star and has been considered one of the best wrestlers in the world. Hopefully this medical issue doesn’t keep AJ sidelined for very long.
