Kevin Owens and his contract status have been hot news in the wrestling world recently. Fans have wondered if he might even rejoin his Mt. Rushmore stablemates in All Elite Wrestling. On this week’s Raw, Owens made a direct reference to the controversy.

With his contract expiring in February of 2022, nobody knows for sure where Owens will wind up. On this week’s Raw, the superstar cut a babyface promo about how he gives wrestling all he has. He then dropped the line about his contract.

“It might be for 3 more months or 3 more years, every time I’m on WWE Raw, I’ll give the fans something to remember.”

Later in the show, WWE Champion Big E delivered another, more subtle line regarding KO’s employment status. E said that there is no room for Owens and that he’s the face of Raw. He then said “…this isn’t Mount Rushmore.”

The speculation about Owens really picked up steam when fans noticed a back-and-forth between Owens and the Young Bucks on Twitter. It seems that Owens is a lock for AEW. It’s also professional wrestling, it’s hard to tell at times who is playing who.

Wherever he lands, Kevin Owens seems to have all the cards in his hand. He might be AEW-bound, or he could be using social media for negotiating leverage. Either way, Kevin Owens will be wrestling on television somewhere, and he’ll be ready to fight.
