Jim Cornette might be the world’s foremost critic of All Elite Wrestling. Not even Cornette favorite Bryan Danielson is immune to Cornette’s scathing commentary. It seems like he’s got an opinion on every aspect of the promotion.

Adam Cole recently tweeted that he’s not even reached his prime yet as a professional wrestler. After his WWE contract expired, the former NXT star jumped at the chance to join friends the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega in AEW. Cornette has not been pleased with the decision.

“Sad to say, Adam, you should have tweeted this before you left the big time and joined the Lollipop Guild. Every match you spend joking around with and getting kissed by juvenile delinquents instead of kicking stars’ asses further blemishes your considerable talent.”

Adam Cole hasn’t responded to Cornette’s remarks. Cornette has led a backlash against AEW’s booking of Cole. He believes that Cole is a serious wrestler and has no place in AEW comedy bits. He also is on record in his opinion that the company’s wrestlers ignore basic ring psychology in lieu of high-flying moves that look cool but don’t tell a story.

There is no doubt Jim Cornette will continue to put AEW on blast. His old-school mentality just doesn’t mesh with the type of wrestling the company is doing. He is tired of people exposing the business.

James E. Cornette has been involved with pro wrestling since the early 1980s. He was a manager, booker, and promoter from the height of the territory days until their downfall, which took his Smoky Mountain Wrestling promotion with it. He is most well-known to fans today as the opinionated podcast host who hates almost all things AEW.
