Bray Wyatt’s WWE release happened, and there are two sides to every story. Ringside News has exclusively reported on numerous issues backstage with the former Eater of Worlds. He might end up in another pro wrestling company, but he’s not hitting the indies.
GCW owner Brett Lauderdale spoke to Wrestling Inc about Bray Wyatt a bit. This came up as they discussed some of the recent free agents. It is to Lauderdale’s understanding that Bray Wyatt isn’t interested in taking indie dates. The world of GCW might not be “appealing” to Windham Rotunda.
“I have never talked to Bray Wyatt, but my understanding is that I don’t know that our world is very appealing to Bray Wyatt […] our world is not very appealing to Bray Wyatt.”
“There’s no secret message there. I think that he’s not interested in making the rounds on the indies. That’s my understanding. I don’t mean any negative implication that he said anything because I’ve never spoken to him. From people I know, that he knows and whatever, it just doesn’t seem like it’s something that’s on his to-do list anytime soon.”
Bray Wyatt’s talks with Impact Wrestling fell apart as reported by Sean Sapp. This was not for lack of trying from the former TNA. We’ll have to see where Wyatt lands next, but with ROH closing their doors to contracted talent it seems that AEW is the only other option.
