Paul Heyman Claims The Usos Are Light-Years Ahead Of Other Tag Teams

Paul Heyman’s contributions to the pro wrestling world do not need any introductions whatsoever. His promo skills are touted as some of the best in the history of the pro wrestling world. It seems he has a very high opinion on The Usos.

Paul Heyman is currently the Special Counsel to Universal Champion Roman Reigns and has been instrumental in Reigns’ success. On top of that, he is also helping out The Usos as part of the Bloodline.

The Usos are certainly one of the best tag teams in WWE’s history, as they are multi-time tag team champions. The Usos have competed in some of the most iconic matches in the company’s history as well.

While speaking with Sports Illustrated, Paul Heyman talked about The Usos as a tag team. He then explained why The Usos are “light-years ahead” of every tag team in the world right now.

“The Usos are exactly where Roman Reigns was two and a half years ago, and that’s at the cusp of entering their prime. You have not seen the best of The Usos yet, and they are already light-years ahead of everyone else on the roster and all of sports entertainment.

They’ve weathered the storms, gone through their controversies, and taken and delivered their beatings. The Usos are not only at the top of their game, they are at the top of the entire concept of tag team wrestling. Years from now, by the time they wrap up this run, they will be recognized as not just the best tag team of all-time, but as the two men that caused us to redefine the description of the type of match they present.”

Much like I took the term manager and progressed it and evolved it into agent-advocate-special counsel, The Usos are a transformative tag team that are so great we will need to find a different description to describe their matches.”

The Usos are the SmackDown Tag Team Champions and are currently on a great run as the champions. It remains to be seen who their next opponents will be as it is unlikely they will lose the titles anytime soon.
