Gable Steveson’s WWE RAW Draft Spot Surprised Many Backstage

Gable Steveson is on his way to RAW. He was included in he 2021 WWE Draft as a surprising choice for the red brand. The Olympic Gold Medalist also signed a deal with the company, but he will finish out his time with the University of Minnesota first.

According to a report from Fightful Select, many people were surprised to see Gable Steveson’s name on the list. He wasn’t even in the building for RAW, but they listed him as having an entrance on the internal run sheet as well.

Steveson was listed on internal run sheets as being drafted, which prompted many surprised faces when they received the itinerary. Steveson wasn’t at the venue when he was picked, but the sheet actually listed him as having an “entrance,” which clearly didn’t happen.

It was reported that Gable Steveson’s inclusion in the 2021 WWE Draft was not a big secret within talent, staff and production. Many people knew about this, but that didn’t make it any less of a surprise.

We will have to see what Gable Steveson does in WWE when he debuts next year. Fans already know he will be working on Mondays and skipping NXT as well.
