WWE is desperately trying to fill up the UBS Arena on Long Island after rival AEW had no problem moving tickets in the same building. They recently announced Roman Reigns for the event as a way to increase ticket sales. Now, a keen-eyed Twitter user has noted the company is offering buy one get one free tickets to the event.
Tickets sold like hotcakes for the December 8 Dynamite show. WWE has been trying to keep up, and now it looks like fans can get a friend in for free if they decide to attend Raw on November 29. Word got out when @AndrewBaydala shared the news and it was retweeted elsewhere.
“To those who are thinking about attending RAW at UBS Arena on 11/29 in NY. Use code TREAT for 2 for 1 tickets.”
A pair of decent upper deck tickets to the show retails for $88 without the promo code, according to TicketMaster. The AEW show appears to have opened up additional upper-level seats after selling out the initial allotment with a different configuration.
The war at the gate coincides with the ongoing ratings war between the two companies. They recently went head-to-head directly for the first time ever. SmackDown won total viewership. Rampage won the key demo. Then, a replay of SmackDown beat a recent Saturday edition of Dynamite.
With less time until their show, WWE still has plenty of floor-level seats available. Only scattered lower-level seats remain for the taping of Dynamite and Rampage. Fans will have to wait and see if the latest strategy by WWE pays off with better attendance.
