Ring of Honor will not be renewing contracts of multiple wrestlers who are currently on the company’s payroll. Multiple talents whose contracts are set to expire at year-end have confirmed they won’t be getting a new deal from the Baltimore-based wrestling promotion.

ROH announced they would be undergoing a “hiatus” as part of a revamp. The company said it would finish the current year with its “Final Battle” PPV and would be rebranding itself in the first quarter of 2022.

To this effect, according to PW Insider, ROH would release all talents except those whose contracts extend beyond January 1, 2022 from the company’s payroll. These individuals are expected to remain with the promotion till March 0r April 2022.

“Ring of Honor is still slated to tape episodes of their weekly TV series this weekend in Baltimore and the 12/11 Final Battle PPV is still on. That PPV will very much an end-point chapter in Ring of Honor as whatever form the promotion ends up taking going forward will be a very different animal.”

Moreover, the company intends to hold its “Supercard of Honor” PPV during the WrestleMania weekend next year in Dallas, Texas. ROH’s weekly television programming, on the other hand, will continue during the aforementioned hiatus period.
