WWE released quite a few Superstars and members of staff since April of this year. The company previously released 14 Superstars from NXT and 205 Live and that included one of the mainstays of 205 Live, Tony Nese. Nese already commented on his release, stating that he can’t wait to work elsewhere. It seems Nese has confirmed he is all elite.
Tony Nese made his first appearance on AEW television during last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. The AEW commentary team also referred to Tony Nese as “one of the hottest free agents in pro-wrestling.” It was not confirmed whether Tony Nese signed with the company or not.
As reported earlier, Tony Nese had signed a contract with AEW recently. However, that fact was not confirmed back then. Now it seems that his signing has finally been confirmed.
While speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Tony Nese confirmed that he has signed a contract with AEW. He simply stated that his signing with AEW has been a blessing.
“This is awesome. It’s been a blessing.”
Nese has already made his in-ring debut during the latest AEW Dark tapings. On top of that, he even hinted at squaring off against Adam Cole. Now that he is officially part of the roster, we will have to wait and see who Nese will feud against first.
