Goldberg has earned a reputation as a dangerous in-ring worker over the years. He was even blamed for his disastrous match with The Undertaker. Some people seem to enjoy his stiffness in the ring.
Some wrestlers enjoyed working with Goldberg, however. Among them is former WCW star Bryan Clark (Adam Bomb in the WWF, Wrath and Bryan Clark in WCW), who says he loved wrestling the big man. Bryan had nothing but good words to say during a recent interview with UnSkripted.
“I love working with Bill [Goldberg]. Brian [Adams] and I were both very stiff, snug, whatever you wanna call it. That’s just my background with the military and college football and stuff. I like it that way. It needs to be tight. That’s the way I was trained and Brian was the same with the dojos over in Japan.”
Goldberg continues to be a headline act for WWE. Clark has been retired since 2003 due to a series of nagging injuries. He recently beat conspiracy and narcotics charges in court.
Bryan Clark was part of a class action lawsuit in 2016 that alleged that WWE concealed the risks of traumatic brain injuries from wrestlers. The suit was dismissed in September of 2018 and is currently on its way to the Supreme Court.
The troubled wrestler has had a rocky road since his retirement. If he wants redemption in the public eye, placing himself next to Bill Goldberg is not a bad place to start.
