Chris Jericho’s recent cruise started off as a nightmare for wrestling fans who paid big bucks to get on board. After the long lines settled down, fans were treated to wrestling that included stars from AEW, ROH, and NJPW and were loving every minute of it.

Jericho’s home promotion, All Elite Wrestling, previously taped an episode of Dynamite on one of the Jericho cruises. This time, no such taping took place. Despite a lot of AEW talent appearing on the roster,

Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that no tapings took place on the latest cruise over this past weekend. He said the previous show from the ship didn’t pop an impressive rating and it is cost prohibitive to run such a show.

“The rating was average [for the last Jericho Cruise broadcast] you know, I thought you know, with this cool look and everything it will do well, but it did not. It got the same average rating. It is difficult, if you tape ahead the results do get out. Going live, from what I was told, going live is very expensive. I can see why. They didn’t tape anything from there. Not even Dark, not anything like that.”

Jericho announced during the cruise that a fourth edition of the event will take place in March, 2022. AEW talents will appear on the cruise. It is not known at this time if AEW plans to send a camera crew.

The Four Leaf Clover cruise will be Jericho’s fourth wrestling-themed trip. It will feature wrestling talent from AEW and various other promotions as well as live musical performances, autograph sessions, photo opportunities, and more.
