Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch had a backstage confrontation that was very real. Flair was also escorted out of the building by security after the shouting match. It all stemmed from their main event segment where the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Titles were swapped. Flair dropped her title during that segment to get one over on Lynch, but WWE has a way of making fans forget about things.
WWE aired a replay of SmackDown last night on FOX. They also had an opportunity to make sure that one certain thing hit the cutting room floor.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE edited out the part of the women’s title swap segment on SmackDown where Charlotte Flair dropped the title.
You know they replayed SmackDown tonight and they edited out the part where she dropped the belt, so for whatever that’s worth. I mean I guess they wanted to edit it out. I mean whatever, they might as well.
WWE has the power to edit anything from their history and it appears that they want fans to forget that messy situation during the title swap. That is going to be pretty difficult to do, especially since so many fans already know the story of what happened directly after that uncomfortable segment.
You can check out the uncut segment below which includes the title dropping part that enraged Becky Lynch so much.
