Adam Cole’s contributions to NXT after making his debut back in 2017 cannot be understated. He competed in several of the brand’s best matches and helped shape NXT for 4 years. It seems Adam Cole was nervous teaming up with the Young Bucks last month.

Adam Cole was done with NXT after TakeOver 36 and shortly after that, Adam Cole’s WWE contract also expired, making him a free agent. On top of that, he didn’t sign another contract with WWE.

In the end, Adam Cole decided that he wanted to be All Elite and so made his debut at AEW All Out and utterly shocked the pro wrestling world to its core. He also teamed up with The Young Bucks already and has been successful so far.

While speaking on AEW Unrestricted, Adam Cole talked about teaming up with The Young Bucks during AEW Grand Slam. The Elite member admitted that he was nervous about teaming up with them.

“I know Matt and Nick (Jackson) have been pretty open about this, and I feel the same way, when it comes to six-man tag matches, I feel we have the best chemistry together. There’s just something between Matt, Nick and myself that clicks completely, whether it be the ideas that we have, or our timing, or the moves we do. I always feel like me and The Young Bucks have just gelled so well.

The really cool thing for me was when we had that Arthur Ashe six-man tag match on Rampage (Grand Slam), I remember being a little bit nervous, like ‘I haven’t teamed with (The Young Bucks) in like five years, and here we are, with the biggest show in AEW history as far as attendance goes. God I hope it’s still there’, and ‘it’ was. I love those guys to death, so it was really, really cool getting to team with them again, and on such a big stage as well.

There are so many fresh matches and cool things we can do (in AEW) now. It really does feel like, with the roster we have, if nothing else changes, there’s like five years worth of material, easily, like minimum. There’s just so much we could do and I’ve only been here five or six weeks, I’m so amped.

Adam Cole is currently feuding with Jungle Boy as the Elite utterly decimated Jungle Boy on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. We will have to wait and see how their feud progresses.
