WWE Tough Enough brought many Superstars to the WWE Universe, and Moose was almost one of them. He went in for a tryout and was offered a spot on Tough Enough, but that didn’t pan out so he signed with TNA instead.

Tough Enough ran for 6 seasons and it was a fan favorite series. The concept also went through many changes throughout the years, but Moose decided it wasn’t for him.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Moose explained how he was offered a spot on Tough Enough. He went to a WWE tryout and they approached him with the idea. He wanted to become a household name and he had no desire to start fresh anywhere since he had already put work into his name. That is why he decided to take Impact Wrestling up on their offer instead.

“I remember doing the try out, and they were like, ‘Hey, we really like you, but all we can offer you is a shot on ‘Tough Enough’.  For me, I was in the position where Moose was going to be a household name.  I didn’t want to stop everything and start fresh.  I was set to sign back with Ring of Honor, and I got hit up by IMPACT.  They told me they would pay me 4 or 5 times more what I was going to be offered for my 3rd contract.  To me, I looked at Ring of Honor, no disrespect, as a big name indie.  I saw TNA as an actual wrestling company because of all the history they had.  This was my chance to go and play with the big boys, so I joined TNA, which is now IMPACT Wrestling.”

Moose’s career turned out fine even without Tough Enough. That being said, we still have to wonder how things would be different for Moose now if he would have taken the chance to compete on the WWE reality television show competition.
