Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch Had Heated Confrontation Backstage At SmackDown

Charlotte Flair’s booking remains one of the most polarizing decisions in WWE. Flair continues to be criticized for getting multiple shots at titles which other WWE Superstars deserved far more than she did. Despite all the backlash, WWE is set on pushing Flair to the moon and that is unlikely to stop anytime soon.

Despite all the criticism, it is a fact that Charlotte Flair is one of the best female in-ring performers in the company and that she has competed in several historic matches in the company.

This week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown ended with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair exchanging their respective titles. This is because they switched brands in the WWE Draft.

According to PWInsider, some instances that took happened in the ring during that segment, including Flair throwing one of the belts on the ground, after which Lynch threw the other belt at Flair, were not part of the plan.

When Becky Lynch left and Sasha Banks came out, the segment got back on course. However, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair then had a heated confrontation backstage.

There was said to be an issue with Flair “allegedly disrespecting Lynch by trying to make her look bad”, and there was a “heated” situation and “loud words” exchanged. Thankfully, it never got physical.

It seems WWE’s lazy handling of their top women’s titles became an issue in general. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for both Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
