Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine is famed for their annual wrestler ratings. The PWI 500 and PWI Women’s 150 always stir up major debate among fans. This year’s women’s list is no different.
The top five women’s wrestlers of the past year were revealed on PWI’s site this morning. The list is sure to spark controversy and heated discussion online.
The list is headed by WWE superstar Bianca Belair. The list also includes talent from Japan, AEW, and Impact. A fan favorite like Britt Baker coming in at #4 is very interesting indeed.
The publication posted the criteria used to create the list, as well as the top five wrestlers. The full list will be available when the January 2022 issue of PWI releases.
Criteria for the “Women’s 150” list included:
– In-Ring Achievement (championships, tournaments, win-loss record)
– Influence (in one’s home promotion and the industry at large)
– Technical Ability
– Breadth and Quality of Competition
– Activity
