The Young Bucks are masters when it comes to the business side of pro wrestling as they continue to sell tons of merchandise. They have cashed in on a variety of incidents over the years, especially involving WWE. Now it seems they have explained their unique Twitter strategy.
They are also known for their expensive sneaker collection and recently decided to take a hilarious shot at the NXT roster for their choice of sneakers. Due to this they even caused quite a stir due to them dragging the entire NXT locker room.
For quite a long time now The Young Bucks have been using their Twitter bio as a way to further storylines. In addition to that, they also take shots at multiple pro wrestlers and even companies through their bio.
While speaking with Sports Illustrated, Matt and Nick Jackson talked about their unique strategy when it comes to using their Twitter bio. In the end they use social media as a tool to drive their points across and progress storylines.
“We are constantly trying to use any and every platform we have available,” says Matt Jackson, the creator of the Twitter bios. “Unfortunately, the days of gauging ideas or reading constructive criticism on Twitter are over. It’s mostly just hyperbole, or trolls trying to give their hottest takes so their tweets are the most liked. As a creator or someone in the spotlight, if you tweet something out, no matter what it is, you likely just created your own hate-thread.
Although social media has turned into an overcrowded cesspool of toxicity, there are still ways to use it as an effective tool. I wanted to figure out a way to do Twitter without actually having to do Twitter, so I started writing my thoughts in the bio. Most of the time I ‘post and ghost,’ and have no idea if people liked what I wrote. I knew I was on to something when the boys [in the locker room] would reach out and tell me.”
The Young Bucks are currently focused on their own feuds in AEW but that doesn’t mean they will be slacking when it comes to their Twitter game. This is unlikely to change anytime soon from the looks of it.
