Bryan Danielson recently scored a win against NJPW star Minoru Suzuki on AEW Rampage, which he followed up with a victory against Bobby Fish on AEW Dynamite. However, it seems that Danielson is not yet satisfied.

Danielson has been quite vocal about his desire to compete in a G1 in NJPW in order to test himself. It seems that the wrestler is still working towards that dream. Danielson recently appeared on the In The Kliq podcast, where he shed some light on the potential partnership between WWE and NJPW.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer had reported back in May that WWE and NJPW were in talks regarding a potential partnership. Danielson has now confirmed that he did in fact ask WWE to work in Japan.

I don’t know how far along the talks went and I don’t know even if I was the start of them, for sure, but one of the things when I was talking to them when WWE was trying to re-sign me was, I said, ‘I want to be able to work in Japan.’

While nothing is set in stone yet, Danielson seems optimistic about his prospects. The wrestler noted that “it seems like AEW has a really great relationship with New Japan,” which he has taken as a positive sign. One thing is for certain, It would definitely be interesting to see this partnership happen.
