The Young Bucks fired the first shot in this new AEW vs WWE war, but it had nothing to do with wrestling really. The Jacksons were making a point to say that their sneaker game is bigger than the entire NXT roster combined. This brought a reaction from all over, including from Top Dolla.
The Hit Row member released a diss track directed at the Young Bucks’ statements. After that went viral it was time for AEW to fire a shot back, but it didn’t come from Nick and Matt Jackson. Instead, it came from rapper Max Caster.
Caster took the microphone in Miami after AEW Dynamite was over and he dropped a burn on the NXT brand in general. He quipped about how AEW beat them in the ratings. Then he called out Top Dolla by name.
Top Dolla is preparing for his main roster debut on SmackDown. Hit Row was called up to the main roster during the 2021 WWE Draft. While fans worry about how Hit Row will be presented by Vince McMahon, Top Dolla seemingly reacted to Max Caster’s statement with an animated gif.
We’ll have to see if they slide in any references to AEW, Max Caster, or the Young Bucks into Hit Row’s promo this week. If anything, pro wrestling fans certainly care a lot about sneakers and it shows.
