FTR Wins AAA Tag Team Titles On AEW Saturday Night Dynamite

AEW presented a very special episode of Dynamite this week on Saturday. The AAA Tag Team Titles were on the line, but the Lucha Bros’ opponents remained a mystery. This resulted in a big surprise followed by a title change.

Lucha Bros were set to defend their AAA Tag Team Titles against a masked mystery team. All we knew about this mystery team ahead of time was that they are associates of Andrade. It didn’t take very long for that mystery team to lose their masks and reveal FTR underneath.

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler were able to turn things around in Miami and win the match. That clinched the Top Guys another pair of tag team title. This was a shocking development and they got out of the ring in a hurry after stealing the victory.

Now FTR are the AAA Tag Team Champions. AEW has a working relationship with AAA and many other companies. At this point, it’s not uncommon for an AEW star to hold a title with a different company. Now FTR are the latest stars on the AEW roster to do so.
