Kurt Angle has not returned to pro wrestling since his WWE release, but that didn’t stop WWE from offering him a role. Angle also revealed the exorbitant amount of money he’d need to wrestle one more match. He is also interested in what Gable Steveson does in WWE and gave him advice recently.
Gable Steveson is now a huge name in the world of sports due to his incredible performance at the Tokyo Olympics. WWE wanted him and they didn’t hide that fact as even Vince McMahon went all out to sign him. WWE finally managed to sign Gable Steveson to a contract this month and put all speculation to rest as far as where the 21-year-old will go next.
Gable Steveson also previously admitted that Brock Lesnar was a huge influence in him signing with WWE as Lesnar’s career path was something Steveson found helpful. Even Gerald Brisco stated earlier that Steveson has more charisma than Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar.
While speaking on the Jobbing Out podcast, Kurt Angle talked about Gable Steveson signing with WWE. The Olympic Gold medallist offered some helpful advice to Steveson as well. Angle stated that Steveson should forget everything he knows about amateur wrestling while competing in WWE.
“In amateur wrestling, you don’t show emotion… In pro wrestling, you have to show a lot of emotion. You have to show when you’re angry, you’re scared, p*ssed off, happy, excited. It crosses over to the fans, so I had to forget everything I ever learned. Especially my moves because I was very aggressive in amateur wrestling and I had to pull back a little bit and say, ‘Okay, let me give my body to the guys that are in the ring with me.’”
Gable Steveson also previously stated that he isn’t the next Kurt Angle. The company also has a WrestleMania goal in mind for Steveson. We will have to wait and see when Gable Steveson will make his debut on Monday Night RAW.
