The Rock has been surrounded by rumors of his return to WWE ever since his most recent departure. A look at the Fast and Furious star’s schedule reveals that fans may have to wait a while longer before seeing the Brahma Bull inside a wrestling ring.

On the latest edition of the Mat Men podcast, Andrew Zarian reported that Survivor Series is an unlikely time and place for an in-ring comeback. The Rock is scheduled to be in Australia filming for his NBC series Young Rock through October. Zarian has reported that this schedule will conflict with the WWE Survivor Series PPV.

While this doesn’t completely rule out Dwayne Johnson making an appearance at Survivor Series, it doesn’t seem incredibly likely. It was reported that sources did take note that WWE will still have some type of 25th Anniversary tribute for The Rock on the show.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the plan was for Rock to make an appearance at the pay-per-view event to celebrate his anniversary. Fans are clamoring for Rock vs Roman as soon as possible. Ringside News exclusively reported that match was never considered for WrestleMania 38.

The Rock hasn’t wrestled a proper WWE match in years. Aside from his rematch with Cena at WrestleMania in 2013, Johnson’s only official match was a six second comedy squash of Eric Rowan at WrestleMania 32.
