Big E truly had a long and difficult road to the top of WWE. After making an impact on NXT, he soon made his way to the main roster but was eventually lost in the shuffle.

While Big E is certainly one of the most positive people in the company, even he isn’t immune to suffering from crushing lows during his career which made him feel lost.

While speaking with Matty Paddock of The Independent, Big E talked about his low points during his WWE career and mentioned the time he was feuding with Bad News Barrett.

Big E stated that being booed as a babyface was the worst and he truly felt at a low point after dropping the Intercontinental Championship to Barrett.

“I was in a program with Bad News Barrett. He was super over and had that scissor lift and was getting great reactions. The night that I dropped the title, I was blowing my comeback and getting booed and, as a babyface, that’s the worst! When you’ve got your heel rocking and rolling and you’re getting booed… oh no! Things have gone awry!”

Big E has certainly come a long way now that he is the WWE Champion and universally loved and praised by fans and pro wrestlers alike and it is likely he will never forget his struggles.
