Adam Cole left NXT after the conclusion of NXT TakeOver 36, where he lost to Kyle O’Reilly, bringing an end to their feud. Right after that, Adam Cole’s WWE contract also expired and thus he became a free agent.
Adam Cole decided to shock the world as he debuted at AEW All Out last month and he couldn’t be happier. This is especially due to the fact that he is in the same company as his girlfriend AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker.
Before making his way to AEW, Adam Cole was part of The Undisputed Era in NXT, alongside Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong and Bobby Fish. Fish would end up signing with AEW as well.
While speaking at New York Comic-Con, Adam Cole talked about his relationship with Bobby Fish now that both of them are in AEW. Cole stated that while they aren’t on the best terms, he is glad to see him in AEW.
Despite that, Adm Cole also made it clear that he isn’t quite sure whether he would want to see Bobby Fish as part of The Elite.
“The last time I was around Bobby Fish, things with my former group didn’t end so well. I’m not sure we’re on the best terms. However, I am very happy that he’s in AEW, I hope everybody else too.
We’ll see if it gets to the point where we invite him into The Elite. I don’t know if I’m emotionally ready for that yet.”
Bobby Fish also recently revealed that he was happy to see Adam Cole in AEW and loved his debut. Bobby Fish is set to square off against Bryan Danielson on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite so it remains to be seen how the match will turn out to be.
