CM Punk left WWE back in 2014 after the Royal Rumble pay-per-view and since then he vowed never to step foot inside a pro wrestling ring ever again. Of course, he broke his promise as Punk debuted on AEW Rampage: The First Dance. He was in talks with AEW for quite a long time too.

Punk himself absolutely loved his AEW debut and he has singlehandedly became the most talked-about pro wrestler on the planet right now, much to the delight of Mick Foley.

The Second City Saint is certainly having a great time in AEW and is well aware of how different the locker room is compared to WWE, where he spent several years of his life.

While speaking with The Wrap, CM Punk gave a ton of praise to the AEW locker room and made it clear that he is happy about there being no drama in the company.

“I’m here to stay. Trust me, in 10 years, people will be talking about what we have with AEW. It’s such a just hang out, wait and see, and have fun and enjoy the ride kind of thing. Everything is fluid: dates, contracts — literally everything. This has been the best working experience I’ve ever had in the wrestling business, and if there is an issue on either end, everybody just talks. There’s no drama, it’s fantastic.”

It remains to be seen what CM Punk will do next as he couldn’t be happier to be working in AEW right now.
