Will Ospreay Claims He Would Embarrass Kenny Omega

Will Ospreay challenged Kota Ibushi for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at NJPW’s Sakura Genesis event back in April. Ospreay did the impossible and ended up defeating Ibushi to become the new champion. Unfortunately, he had to relinquish it due to neck injury.

Will Osprey returned at NJPW’s Resurgence event back in August but then tested positive for COVID-19 shortly after his return but since then has made a full recovery.

Ospreay is currently set to square off against Alex Zayne at NJPW Showdown and ahead of his match, Ospreay decided to put AEW Champion Kenny Omega on notice.

While speaking to SEScoops, Will Ospreay called out Kenny Omega and claimed that he would embarrass him.

”Kenny Omega wants to wrestle Will Ospreay… Kenny Omega was the guy in New Japan Pro Wrestling, but when he left, I took over and I made my own stance and no one could compete with me back in 2019. If I got into a room with him, I’d embarrass him.”

Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay started going at it after the PWI 500 was revealed and despite their heated Twitter war, a match between the two is yet to happen. We will have to wait and see if the two duke it out eventually.
