Hit Row was called up to the WWE main roster in a surprising move as part of the 2021 Draft. They are now on the SmackDown brand, but the group was still on NXT this week to wrap up their feud with Legado Del Fantasma. Swerve Scott still has the NXT North American Title to deal with, after all.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the decision to call Hit Row to the main roster was made “days eariler” before the 2021 WWE Draft. However, nobody in NXT knew that the stable was on their way out until the call was announced on draft day.
While we were told the Hit Row decision was made days earlier, those in NXT were not told, and nobody in the organization really was told anything, even if the switches based on booking patterns to an extent were predictable in most of the cases.
We will have to see what Hit Row is able to do on SmackDown. There are a lot of things that they could get into as a stable or separately. As fans hope for the best regarding that NXT stable it appears that they will be babyfaces on the main roster starting out.
