Bruce Prichard Didn’t Know Who Kenny Omega Was Until Starrcast 2019

Kenny Omega is one of the best pro wrestlers in the world and he had a stint in WWE. That doesn’t mean Bruce Prichard remembered The Cleaner’s time in Deep South Wrestling.

During Something to Wrestle, Bruce Prichard claimed that he had no idea who Kenny Omega even was prior to Starrcast in 2019. Omega was in DSW, but he was an up-and-coming talent at the time, no where near where he is today. Since his name and moniker changed in such a big way since his days in Deep South Wrestling, Bruce Prichard was totally clueless about who Omega really was.

“That day that I was at Starrcast [in 2019] and I said who was that,” Prichard said. “I had no idea who he was.”

“[Deep South Wrestling] was [on our radar], that was one of our territories, we had training facilities and everything that we had there,” Prichard said. “Unfortunately I didn’t get down there with the kind of frequency that we would’ve liked to of.”

Kenny Omega and Bruce Prichard are in much different places now, but they are both executives in pro wrestling companies. It is interesting that Prichard didn’t remember who Kenny Omega was, but to be fair, The Cleaner is a much different person than he was from back in those DSW days.
