Britt Baker is AEW’s resident dentist, but we have no way of knowing how WWE would have treated her. She never inked a deal with Vince McMahon’s company despite appearing for them on a couple of occasions. There was apparently interest there, but obviously, Baker decided to do other things with her career.
Throwing Down with Renee Paquette & Miesha Tate recently had Baker on their show for a chat. During her conversation with Renee and Miesha, Britt revealed that WWE had definite interest in her, but they also tried very hard to avoid contract tampering.
“It’s no secret, (Adam) has already said it, that cat is out of the bag and I’m not going to get in trouble. WWE was definitely poking the bear a little bit through him recently, when I was still with AEW. ‘Hey, we’re interested in her,’ without teetering the line of contract tampering, they definitely let me know that they had interest in me, but it wasn’t a mutual thing. I’m very happy with AEW and thankful for the opportunities and this is where I want to stay,”
AEW just signed Britt Baker to a new multi-year contract. She revealed that news while teasing Adam Cole’s arrival in the company. That contract news was actually legit and Baker isn’t leaving AEW for, at least, three years. Odds are Tony Khan won’t want her to go at any point. So, WWE might have missed their opportunity with her at this point.
