Drew McIntyre remains one of the top Superstars in WWE and certainly has a lot of passion for the pro wrestling business. He is a former two-time WWE Champion and was the face of the company during the pandemic era as the WWE Champion. He is also never afraid to give advice to his peers whenever needed.
WWE held the first night of the 2021 Draft on Friday Night Smackdown last week and it resulted in quite a few big changes, including Drew McIntyre and Charlotte Flair being drafted to Friday Night Smackdown.
While speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about Drew McIntyre and RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair making their way to Friday Night Smackdown after WWE Crown Jewel on October 21st.
Booker T stated that both McIntyre and Flair being drafted to the blue brand is great and that they are huge grabs for FOX.
“For FOX, that’s a big catch for them. Drew McIntyre, through the pandemic, he proved himself as far as being a soldier, a guy that’s willing to push forward through adversity and in times we’ve never been before, he still shined. Drew’s a big catch for SmackDown – and it’s one of the things I talk about all the time: having an international guy on the show, which translates to international fans watching because they love Drew McIntyre.
Charlotte Flair, that’s a huge grab for FOX as well, being on Friday nights. Charlotte Flair, as much as she brings to the table, she is the, you know, this generation’s Ric Flair. She wears that mantle and wears it very, very well. To have those two on SmackDown is huge,”
We will have to wait and see how Drew McIntyre and Charlotte Flair will fare on Friday Night Smackdown after October 21st.
