WWE didn’t let Superstars know about their placements during the 2021 WWE Draft. It’s not uncommon for the company to keep draft choices close to the vest, but this was a much different year.

Ringside News exclusively reported that there were no real heated debates in the writers’ room this time around, because Draft choices were decided on behind closed doors and not a lot of input was given. Superstars in the supplemental draft also didn’t learn about their draft placements until they heard it on social media.

According to PW Insider, one source in WWE excused the company withholding information. It was said that since the changes won’t go into place until October 22nd then Superstars have plenty of time to prepare.

In speaking to one WWE source, they defended the company, noting that the moves won’t take effect for several weeks, so it wasn’t as if someone “found out on Saturday they were now traveling to Raw at the last second.”

WWE is waiting until October 22nd to put those draft choices into effect. That might be a bit of a wait, but they obviously didn’t want to mess with their Crown Jewel plans.

We’ll have to see how everything turns out when the chips are finally laid out this week in the WWE Draft. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more coverage.
