Ruby Soho was part of a previous batch of releases from WWE, back in June. Many fans considered her an underappreciated and underutilized talent and believed it was the best thing for her career.

Since her release, many fans had wondered where Ruby Soho would end up. That was answered after Ruby Soho made her debut at AEW All Out, much to the delight of fans all around the world.

She squared off against Britt Baker for the AEW Women’s Championship in the main event of AEW Dynamite Grand Slam and many fans loved the match. In the end, Britt Baker won the match thanks to interference from Reba and Jamie Hayter.

While speaking on his podcast, The Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette gave massive props to the match and even went as far as to state that it was better than many women’s matches in WWE.

“Obviously, this was not as good as Danielson and Omega, wasn’t as good as the Punk interview, and it wasn’t as good a match as FTR and Sting. He’s an icon or whatever. It was a tough spot to put them in to follow the rest of this show. And, you know, but it was a good girls match, it wasn’t as good as the other stuff that you know because it’s not gonna be, but not only compared to the girls matches that they were having on AEW for a long time when they started but for most of the girls matches that we’ve seen in the WWE. This was a higher-level girls match than we’ve been looking at lately.”

It remains to be seen what is next in store for Ruby Soho now that she lost to Britt Baker at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam.
