Buddy Murphy was one of the mainstays of 205 Live, where he put on excellent matches on a weekly basis. Murphy would eventually move to the main roster where he floundered after a while. He was eventually released back in June.
After his WWE release, Buddy Murphy worked very hard to get into the best shape of his life. He also hinted at going to Impact Wrestling and it is very likely that he’s signing with the company.
Buddy Murphy was also selling his old wrestling gear from Friday Night Smackdown. It seems Murphy dropped a massive hint that he might be making his AEW debut soon.
In a now-deleted tweet, Murphy, who is now known as Buddy Matthews, took to Twitter and shared a picture of a Joker emoji, strongly hinting at being the Joker on this week’s episode of Dynamite, where a Casino Ladder match has been booked to determine the new #1 contender for AEW Champion Kenny Omega.
Fans still do not know who the Joker entrant could be and Murphy’s tweet might just be a red herring, but we can only know on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. We had also reported that AEW passed on signing Murphy, so it is unlikely he will debut in the company.
