WWE will sometimes pair up a veteran talent with a newcomer to help that emerging Superstar learn and find a stronger foothold with the fan base. RKBro was formed and became RAW Tag Team Champions. Their union is still going strong despite Orton’s recent absence, and Riddle has already learned a lot.
While speaking to After The Bell, Riddle revealed that The Viper has taught him a lot already. That tutelage applies for everything including work rate and how to present their characters on screen. Obviously, that team has been very beneficial for everyone involved.
“Randy, over the time we’ve been working together, he’s taught me so much. The way he moves in the ring, I think for me being from the indies, you have a faster work rate. You’re trying to get everything in. You’re only given a certain amount of time. You’re trying to do everything you can do, instead of making the most of what you’re doing.”
“Working with Randy, I feel like instead of killing myself, which I still do, but I think I’m getting the most out of doing what I do now. That’s the biggest thing I’ve learned from Randy.”
We’ll have to see what’s next for Randy Orton and Matt Riddle. WWE also teams up Superstars with the intention of breaking them up later. Riddle has already taken an RKO outta nowhere, but only time will tell if and when he eats another one to signify the end of his championship-winning team.
Orton and Riddle will continue working together and they are apparently enjoying their time in the ring as a team in WWE. The two were also drafted together during the 2021 WWE Draft, so that is another good sign that WWE is keeping them as a tandem for the time being.
