Bronson Reed was released from WWE and that was a shocking turn of events. He was working dark matches and preparing to make his mark on the main roster. He also just signed a three-year extension on his deal, but that didn’t stop Johnny Ace from delivering the sad news that Bronson Reed was fired.

While speaking to Inside Kradle, Jonah Rock revealed that when John Laurinaitis called him up for his release he thought it was for a totally different reason. In fact, the former Bronson Reed thought that Johnny was calling him to to deliver marching orders for RAW or SmackDown.

“I made sure when I did get the call for my release – which I thought was a call to be going up to RAW or SmackDown at the time. It was actually a Friday night, I was watching at home, I get a call from Connecticut. I think, ‘Okay, better answer this, must be work.’ And it’s John Laurinaitis, I answered nicely thinking, ‘Okay, here we go,” and he said, ‘We have to exercise our right to release you.’ Big shock, I was taken for words, I didn’t know what to say,” said Bronson Reed.

We previously reported that Reed is already talking with some major companies. The big question is where he might fit in on another roster, because a man with his talents deserves a hefty salary and spotlight.

The 2021 WWE Draft is tonight and that will include a few NXT to main roster call-ups. Sadly, Bronson Reed was let go or his name would have likely been a part of those upcoming festivities.
