AEW has a roster full of talented stars, regardless of background and size. Marko Stunt is the smallest member of the All Elite Wrestling locker room, if you don’t count Brodie Lee, Jr. Stunt is also not afraid to take on any competitor, no matter how much he might be outmatched.
K&S WrestleFest recently spoke to Ortiz where he expressed a desire to see much more Marko Stunt on AEW television. He wants the Jurassic Express member to get even more opportunities in the company, because there is such potential there.
“He gets featured, but they don’t let him wrestle nearly enough. If you’ve seen his Indie stuff, Marko, there is potential there for him to have amazing matches.”
He went on to discuss Marko Stunt during that virtual signing where he said that pro wrestling helps fans suspend disbelief. He then compared Marko to Spike Dudley and said that he is AEW’s version of the fearless ECW character.
“Personally, if you kind of see what he can do more and put him in those situations where he can really flourish, I feel like it’s been very minimal in AEW and booked the right way, it would be great. He has a lot of fire and can do a lot of cool stuff. He’s a wild man. He takes bumps off the apron. He’s like our Spike Dudley. He’s entertaining to watch and when Spike got any kind of offense, the fans were behind him.”
We’ll have to see if Marko Stunt gets involved in even more action down the line. He spends a majority of his time on camera standing at ringside, but Stunt will never back down from a fight. He will continue displaying that underdog mentality for a new generation, just like Spike Dudley did years ago.
