Bryan Danielson showcased his incredible in-ring prowess all over the world and many fans and pro wrestlers acknowledge just how good he is. His debut in AEW was also one of the most memorable ones in recent memory.
Danielson had previously mentioned his desire to wrestle in other pro wrestling companies. And that’s exactly what he did in the end.
On last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, Bryan Danielson and Kenny Omega competed in an instant classic match. Even Jim Cornette loved the match from start to finish. The match would end in a draw, which many fans did not find any issues with.
While speaking on The Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about Danielson vs Omega’s match last week. He explained that fans weren’t mad about the match ending in a draw as they were rabid and simply wanted to see good action.
“Even with the finish, I don’t think the [AEW] fans were mad at that just because they’re rabid. They want just good action, more than anything. But then again, I’m seeing someone like Omega and Danielson inside the squared circle, that’s a match we don’t see on a weekly basis or anything like that.
It’s not about the money, it’s about the excitement, how much we can draw, how much money we can make. I think that’s what’s it’s going to be about, the best going against the best.”
We will have to wait and see how long it will be until Bryan Danielson gets another shot at Kenny Omega as it is likely to be even better than their first encounter.
