AEW Dynamite Results for September 29, 2021

It’s Wednesday and you know what that means. AEW Dynamite will go down tonight and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage.

• Penelope Ford & The Bunny vs. Anna Jay & Tay Conti

JR welcomes us to the show in Rochester tonight, the home of the late Brodie Lee. CM Punk makes his entrance, he will join commentary tonight.

Adam Coles music hits and he makes his entrance for our first match of the evening. Jungle Boy is out next alone, Jurassic Express not accompanying him to ringside.

Adam Cole vs. Jungle Boy

Lock up to start, both men evenly matched going hold for hold. Adam Cole gets a side headlock, Jungle Boy with forearms in the ropes, gets a headlock of his own, shoulder tackle knocks Cole to the mat. Cole gets right back up and hits forearms in the corner. Jungle Boy with a springing armdrag, dropkick, sending Cole out of the ring.

Cole back in the ring Jungle Boy to the corner before knocking him out of the ring. Cole continues the beatdown on the outside, throwing him into the side of the ring. Cole gets another headlock in the middle of the ring. Cole with a back elbow, Cole throws Jungle Boy hard into the turnbuckles, forearm, another whip into the corner, Jungle Boy fights out of the corner with forearms, basement dropkick and a huge lariat!

Cole with a forearm, forearms back and forth, Jungle Boy hits a superkick, another superkick, Cole with a trust kick, Jungle Boy hits a brainbuster. Jungle Boy hits a belly to belly suplex, then a german suplex, sets Cole up in the tree of woe and hits a basement dropkick, cover, 2 count. Cole hits a backstabber, into a neckbreaker, cover, 2 count.

Cole trash talks Jungle Boy, Jungle Boy hits a reverserana, lariat to the back of the head, cover, 2 count. Jungle Boy hits an Olympic Slam, cover, 2 count. “This is Awesome!” chants, Cole hits a superkick sending Jungle Boy out of the ring. Jungle Boy goes for a suicide dive but Cole hits a kick. Jungle Boy with a hurricanrana form the inside of the ring to the outside, Punk says, “What-a-maneuver!” Funny. Cole hits a superkick in the ring, hits the Panama Sunrise, cover, Jungle Boy kicks out at 2.9! Jungle Boy locks in a STF, the Snaretrap! Cole kicks Jungle Boy out of the ring, Cole hits a low blow while the ref is distracted, Cole hits the Shining Wizard and gets the victory!

WINNER: Adam Cole!

Being the Elite music hits and the Super Elite make their entrance to join Cole in the ring.

Karl Anderson says to be Elite you need to have Adam Cole, the AEW Champion Kenny Omega, the greatest tag team, the Young Bucks, while they are no longer tag team champions, they are still EVPS, Extremely Violent People. Cole says he beat Jungle Boy by himself because he is Elite, he is undefeated. Nick Jackson cuts of Culter, asks if we are ready for the best promo in wrestling? Introduces Nakazawa. The crowd chants “CM Punk!”

Omega says his phone has been ringing off the hook all week with people telling him last week was the greatest match they have ever seen. “Yes!” chants… Bryan couldn’t get the job done, he has no record, he isn’t getting a rematch. Danielson’s music hits!

Danielson asks if we want to see a rematch, says Omega doesn’t have the balls to give him a rematch. “No Balls!” chants. Danielson says, “I present to you Kenny No Balls Omega!” Danielson challenges any one of the Elite for a match on Rampage. Omega asks why Rampage, why not now? Danielson says he isn’t coming alone, Christian, Kazarian, Jurassic Express comes down, rush the ring and the Elite scatter.

Commercial Break.

The Lucha Bros are backstage. Andrade interupts and saks were is Pac? Jose says its been a while since they defended the Triple A tag titles, the Lucha Bros says they’ll defend them anytime.

Matt Sydal and Dante Martin make their entrance. The lights go out as Cody Rhodes makes his entrance. Lee Johnson comes out, Brandi Rhodes and Arn Anderson also accompany them both to ringside.

Matt Sydal & Dante Martin vs. Cody Rhodes & Lee Johnson

Rhodes jumps right in and offers an handshake to Martin, Martin shakes, Cody gets a side headlock, Martin fights out. Johnson makes the tag, Sydal makes the tag, they go back and forth. Martin tags back in. Johnson gets advice from Anderson. Johnson gets a headlock, whips Martin to the ropes and hits a shoulder block. Martin does some impressive dives to dodges Johnsons strikes and Cody and Sydal run in as we go to picture in picture.

Back from the break, Sydal gets a headlock on Johnson, Johnson fights out hits a dropkick. Cody tags in to boos, Martin tags in, hits a flurry of dropkick, Cody hits a bodyslam, Martin with a hurricanrana, elbow strikes back and forth, Cody hits a disaster kick, hits a vertibreaker on Martin, cover, 2 count. Sydal hits a hurricanrana, Martin hits aa missile dropkick on Cody, cover 2 count. Martin with a double jump moonsault on Cody, cover, 2 count. Cody throws Martin out of the ring, Johnson tags himself, in, superkick to Sydal, Martin gets a roll up, 2 count. Johnson with a superkick, hits a huge neckbreaker and gets the victory!

WINNER: Cody Rhodes & Lee Johnson!

Tony Schiavone gets in the ring to interview Cody Rhodes and Lee Johnson. The crowd boos Cody. Cody asks why doesn’t Malaki Black come out here right now. Arn Anderson tells Cody to stop talking. Anderson says Black has destroyed every one of us. This is Cody’s fight but he has let Black walk all over him.. Anderson says Black is an assassin, an predator. Anderson says he would fight him but he is too old. Anderson says he would shoot a car jacker while Cody wouldn’t (this promo got weird…) Anderson leaves with Lee Johnson, leaving Cody in the ring alone.

Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston, Darby Allin and Sting make their entrance through the crowd for this Trios Match. Bear Country and Anthony Green are already in the ring.

Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston & Darby Allin vs. Bear Country & Anthony Green

A huge brawl to start, Green and Allin start in the ring, Allin with a side headlock, shoulder tackle, arm drag, Kingston tags in, continues the attack, then Moxley tags in, Boulder tags in, Moxley with a right hand to little effect, Boulder catches Moxley’s crossbody, Bronson with a senton, cover, 2 count. Bear Country go for a combination splash but Kingston breaks it up. Kingsotn with a huge german suplex. Moxley goes for a german of his own but Boulder fights out, but Moxley hits the German. Allin hits a Coffin Drop to everybody on the outside, Green hits knee strikes on Moxley and Kingston, goes for a crossbody but just bounces of Moxley and Kingston. Moxley and Kingsotn hit the Violent Crown to get the victory.

Sting hits a Scorpion Death Drop on Green as they all celebrate, holding up Brodie Lee signs.

Ruby Soho says she felt like she had so many people in her corner last week. Baker says she proved she was the better woman last week. Soho says she has to go to the back of the line, but she will win the AEW Women’s Championship.

Matt Hardy is in the ring with the HFO. Matt says last year he was supposed to make his entrance last year in Rochester. Matt says that had to be DELTETED, but Rochester didn’t deserve him anyway. Orange Cassidy’s music hit for this next 16 Man Tag Match. The Dark Order make their entrance to huge Brodie Lee chants. Negative 1 is out with the Dark Order.

Orange Cassidy &The Dark Order vs. The Hardy Family Office

Butcher and 10 start the match. The Dark Order fight among themselves. 5 throws 10’s mask at the HFO. Butcher and Blade hit a double team splash and get a 2 count. “Thank You Brodie!” chants. Orange Cassidy tags in, takes down both members of Private Party with a double dropkick. The match breaks down as all men brawl in the ring. Picture in picture.

Back from the break, TH2 beat down the Dark Order in the corner, Reynolds tags in, dropkick to Angelico, Evil Uno hits a big boot. Angelico fights off both members of Dark Order. Reynolds with a high knee. Cassidy hits a splash, cover, 2 count. Evil Uno walks out of the match. Angels breaks a cover, all men run in for a big brawl again. the rest of the Dark Order, Negative 1, Anna Jay, Tay Conti and Amanda Huber comes out to the ramp.

Amanda Huber gives them a pep talk and Dark Order unite in the ring. Greyson with a corkscrew splash, Cabana with a suicide dive, 10 with a spear through the ropes. Silver with a high kick, senton tot he outside, pump kick, Silver climbs to the top, 10 hits a spinebuster, Orange Punch to Hardy, Reynolds with a rolling elbow, Silver with a German, Uno and Greyson hit a cutter, Silver cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Dark Order & Orange Cassidy!

Dark Order celebrate in the ring, finally united with Negative 1 and Amanda Huber. Huge “Brodie Lee!” chants.

Lio Rush video package. Says Tony Khan has been asking him to be All Elite. Rush says he runs the ship, he is a businessman, he knwows true sucess.

FTR are backstage, Dax says excuses are crutches for the weak. Right now they are revitalized, that is bad news for everybody in AEW. Top Guys Out.

Dan Lambert is in the ring with Men of the Year. Says Jericho has had one of the most successful careers in wrestling history. He made AEW the hottest promotion in this industry. Jericho confronting American Top Team and the Men of the Year brought his career to an end. they have chopped off the head of the snake. Sky says a year ago, he stood in this ring and ask if we are paying attention? He was one of the first champions in AEW, he has the best winning records in AEW. He become the Face of the Revolution and it still wasn’t good enough. Dan Lambert was paying attention. He sees what we ignore.

Page says they look past guys like him and Sky. They have no action figure, no show intro, they will not be overlooked anymore. American Top Team and Men of the Year are the top team!

Shida is looking for her 50th win in AEW. Serena Deeb says her 50th win will mean nothing if she cant beat her. Next week Shida vs. Deeb.

The Bunny and Penelope Ford make their entrance. Jay and Conti make their entrance, charging right into the ring. They all brawl on the inside and outside of the ring.

Penelope Ford & The Bunny vs. Anna Jay & Tay Conti

Jay hammers down on the Bunny. Jay with a back elbow, double back elbow, Ford with a boot to the back. Conti with arm drags, whips Ford into the corner. Pump kicks in the corner, Conti falls out of the ring, Ford with a backstabber, Bunny drops Jay on the ropes. Picture in picture.

Back from the break, Conti and ford tag in, Conti with a lariat, another lariat, pump kick, crossbody, Jay tags in, double suplex, Jay makes he cover, 2 count, Ford breaks the count. Ford with a Matrix dodge and hits a Stunner, on Jay, gut buster, cover, 2 count. Ford misses a moonsault, Conti hits a TayKO on the outside, Jay hits a spinning heel kick into a choke and Ford passes out.

WINNER: Tay Conti & Anna Jay!

Negative 1 comes down to celebrate with Jay and Conti.

On Rampage it will be Carghill vs. Thunder Rosa vs. Nyla Rose.

MJF makes his entrance, Wardlow accompanies him out. MJF tells the crowd to pipe down, say he wants this company to be successful. There are a handful of young men who will push this company forward for the next few decades. Jungle Boy, beat him. Sammy Guevara, beat him. Darby Allin, whatever. And the final pillar, MJF.

Without MJF, this company ain’t shit. He is the past present and future of this company and deserves to be AEW World Champion. The crowd chants “CM Punk!” MJF says he has Bruce Prichard on speed dial. Darby Allin makes his entrance.

Darby goes face to face with MJF. MJF says Darby is jealous of him, there is nothing wrong with being the second best guy. Second best like Sting, he is number one. Darby says nobody would care if MJF leaves. The crowd chants goodbye to MJF. Darby says he is AEW till death. How can MJF be number one when he is the only one to win a title between them.

MJF asks if we know why Darby is straight edge. MJF brings up Darby’s alcoholic uncle who died in a car accident with Darby. Its was a travesty, and the wrong man died that night. Darby says he wont hit MJF, MJF will not break him mentally. Keep talking.

Sammy Guevara makes his entrance for our main event. The TNT Champion, Miro, is out next.

TNT Championship: Miro vs. Sammy Guevara

Miro dodges a running knee, Miro blocks another running knee and beats down Guevara. Miro hits a big suplex, stomp to the ankle, elbow to the back, kidney shot to Guevara. Guevara blocks a right hand and hits strikes of his own, Miro with a running elbow, cover, 2 count.

Miro chokes Guevara with his own necklace. Guevara with a running crossbody take Miro out of the ring. Guevara throws Miro into the ringpost. Guevara sidesteps a running strikes from Miro and Miro crashes into the steel steps. Miro catches a shooting star press and hits Guevara with a belly to belly. Picture in picture.

Back from the break, Miro has a headlock, hammering elbow strikes into another headlock. Guevara hits a jawbreaker, Miro catches a jumping knee strikes and hits a suplex. Miro with a big lariat, another lariat, “One More Time!” chants, Guevara hits a Spanish Fly! Guevara hits a superkick, a shining wizard, Mrio catches a pump kick, goes for a splash in the corner but Guevara dodges and Miro goes crashing to the outside. Guevara with a huge dive to the outside onto Miro.

Guevara misses a 450, Miro catches Guevara into a spinning side slam. Miro stomps the ground, misses a superkick, Guevara with a superkick, another superkick, enziguri, Guevara with a spinning cutter from the top rope! Miro hits a Machka Kick, cover, 2 count. Guevara falls out of the ring. Miro rips of the turnbuckle, then another turnbuckle, then another and all the turnbuckle. Fuego Del Sol runs down but gets hit with a right hand.

Guevara with a running knee, Miro crashes into the expose turnbuckle. Guevara hits a tornado DDT, Guevara pick up Miro and hits a GTH! Guevara climbs to the top, hits a 630 Splash! 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: “And New” TNT Champion, Sammy Guevara!

Dynamite goes off the air as confetti falls and Sammy Guevara celebrates with his title!
